Neurotoxins (Dysport and Jeuveau)

Dysport and Jeuveau are prescription neurotoxins, often called "Botox", that temporarily relax the muscles behind expression lines. The result is smoother, rested looking skin that still moves naturally.

What to expect

• A one on one consultation about your goals
• A few quick injections with a fine needle and minimal discomfort
• Many clients notice a change within 1 to 2 days, a big difference by day 5, and full results by two weeks
• Results typically last 3 to 4 months

Dysport or Jeuveau?

Both are FDA approved and both usually last 3 to 4 months.

• Dysport (abobotulinumtoxinA) tends to spread a little more, which can suit larger areas like the forehead.
• Jeuveau (prabotulinumtoxinA) has a more targeted effect, which suits precise areas.

Before your visit

You may be asked to avoid blood thinning medications, alcohol and anti-inflammatory drugs for a few days beforehand to reduce bruising. Neurotoxins are not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

Side effects

Mild bruising, swelling or redness at the injection site is common and short lived. Rarely, temporary weakness or drooping of nearby muscles can occur.
